I had so many moments leading up to today that I told myself that it would be a lot easier to just quit and not have a both. But then I thought, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Just remember when you have an idea that starting is half the battle. It won’t be easy but it can be done! Thank you @craftsavvymarket for having me today. Mr and the girls helped out so much. Thank you to everyone that came by to support! I have no clue who the little girl is on the left but she stayed with us the whole day.

It’s good to see all my hard work taking pics for the blog have paid off in these school pics. picture day hack: stick to a tried and true hair style. I tried something diff once and Peyton looked like Kid from Kid n Play. I didn’t even order any. Don’t do it!

  • Nobody:
Me: Let me clean out all my kitchen cabinets along with everything else going on 😆. I actually enjoy decluttering (my spaces, not others). Swipe ->. My mind feels at peace when spaces are clean and organized. Ever since @pinchofhelp did my master bathroom, I’ve been on a mission. I’m not good like her but I stalk her IG daily for all her tips and before & afters. My kitchen is (almost) ready for Thanksgiving! Please send positive vibes on the rest of the projects we have going on 🙏🏿. Details on the blog. Link in profile #heytrinashome #babyshopahome
  • Doing a mini extreme home makeover just in time for the holidays! Shout out to Mr for speaking my love language and getting ish done in the house (wife porn as @snackswithjack calls it 😆). This past wknd he knocked out our 20ft foyer and hung my new chandelier! It was like watching the Berlin Wall come down 🙌🏾. Also thankful that we didn’t have any incidents on this scaffold 😓. I was so happy when they picked it up cuz my nerves were so bad. We still have a lot more to do but we’re chipping away. Make sure you watch my stories for updates.

Diet Diaries: 7 Day Low Carb Challenge

September 29, 2014

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted about my diet diaries but this is an EMERGENCY update.  I’m happy to report that I’m still working out at least 3 days a week.  My eating has been so-so.  I do good on Monday and Tuesday and crash and burn the rest of the week.  I was talking with a friend at work on Friday and we decided we would eat right for 7 days straight with no cheating.  We are going to ditch the bread, starch, sugar, candy, even wine!  I don’t know if I’m going to submit to the wine part just yet.  That will be a long 7 days!  I posted on Instagram that I was doing this and a lot of you were down for the challenge as well so I knew I had to post something ASAP!

My plain is to eliminate breads and eat lean meats, fruit, vegetables and a little jello.  I may eat a little brown rice here and there, but I’m trying to kick that out for the 7 days as well.  Picture is what I have prepared for Monday.  It looks like a lot of food, but after doing boot camp at 5:30 in the morning, my belly is on TEN!  I will try to share my meals throughout the week on Instagram and Facebook.  Remember, food prep is KEY (check out this post)!  You can find my egg muffin recipe HERE and follow my Diet Diaries Pinterest board for the turkey meatloaf balls HERE.

The Diet Diaries 7 Day Challenge will take place on Instagram and Facebook.  Follow me on Instagram (here) and Facebook (here) and use the hashtag #dietdiarieschallenge to keep up with the conversation. Just to let you guys know, using these hashtags have been brilliant for me as they’ve helped me get more instagram followers so maybe you should try, don’t forget to hashtag my page in your posts so I can see them! Anyway, the prize for this challenge is a better YOU!  Getting healthy and losing weight is hard.  It’s easier when you have some support.  Let’s support each other, share what we are eating, workouts and progress.  At the end of the 7 days I would love for everyone to share their story whether it’s on their IG page (non-private) or on my Instagram page in the comments.  Do you think you can eat right for 7 days straight?  Baby steps! Let’s Go!

I’m excited and ready to take on these next 7 days…I’m already doing a 90 day challenge to lose 20 lbs. previously I lost 52 lbs and I know that having accountability partners is key to accomplishing a weight loss/gain goal.

Go Trina! On my last physical, I was pre – diabetes. After working with a nutritionist, we’ve made some tremendous progress. Not totally eliminating carbs for me, but just finding the best source of carbs…Also making sure I eat every 3 hours and do a proper macro distribution. I’ve lost 12 lbs since.

Way to go Trina! After doing serious morning workout I am always starving too! My sister and I talked about your challenge last night. We eat brown rice at least 3 times a week. Heck sometimes 5. Guess we need to figure it out!

I think that is awesome that you are challenging yourself. However, you know I dont believe in diets because in my opinion, they don’t work. I believe in lifestyle changes. Once you make lifestyle changes, you will be healthier and loose weight. I don’t know about no carbs, but I will try some healthier choices this week for you challenge!
