Breastfeeding and Backless Dresses?

March 16, 2011

I breastfeed,  actually, exclusively pumped for 6 months!  All the breastfeeding Mamas’ know that breastfeeding takes a toll on the ladies.  I was a strong D before I was preg, now they are so deflated they look like a flat A cup!  I used to be able to rock backless dresses with out a bra if I had too with no prob.  NOW?  I would not dare go anywhere with out a bra!  Let alone out in a nice dress with no support!

For the Rock the Red Pump event, I wanted to wear my Trina Turk dress.  The dress is very conservative in the front and sexy in the back! I tried my hardest to figure out how to wear a bra with this dress, it keep poking out and I would have to continue to fuss with it all night to make sure nothing was showing.  I finally gave up and headed to Target and found this…

A backless Strapless bra from Lingerie Solutions. It was $18.99 at Target.  To my surprise, it did not move the whole night!  It is held on with this super sticky tape like tab.  I probably should have pulled it up higher : ).  This bra is supposed to be reusable up to 10 times.  It felt great to not have to worry about my girls all  night!

So ladies, don’t be scared of backless and halter dress!  You can do it!

I had no idea that Target sold such a bra!! I’ve seen some super cute backless dresses that I’ve been afraid to buy for the same reason. Post breastfeeding my knockers are not what they used to be!

That dress is perfection on you!!

Thanks for your comment on FIBJ. I am just going to pin my hair up. Growing it out is just too hard and time consuming. haha

Riight. Phooey to those that keep saying breastfeeding doesn’t make your boobs sag. LIES!

I have passed up a couple of cute tanks and dresses because I didn’t want to fool with tugging at a strapless bra. I am definately going to try this. Bless you for sharing this fab find!

My daughter is a dancer and she need a bra that stayed up and was comfy. We tried the sticky cups and every other bra you can think of. wonderbra strapless worked great. You couldn’t see the straps and she was able to dance without having to pull up a strapless bra.

What a nice post, thanks! Have you ever used a bra tape? I think for such dresses http://byebra.com breast stickers suits the most because this Dutch brand has been known to bring high quality breast shapers. Do you have issues if you wear a strapless dress?
