The girl started school in a new state! Peyton is a sophmore and Harper is in 4th grade. Like I just had these babies. I can’t front, I was super nervous. I was beating myself up if I made the right decisions. Are they going to be traumatized for going to a new school. They have to make new friends, learn the school and navigate a new culture. Then I remembered, my mom used to move during the school year and I’ve had to switch schools a few times and I turned out fine… I think : ).

We’re about 2 weeks in and I can say, they are doing awesome! Peyton is on her high schools flag football team. She is meeting so many new people and even went to the football game and met up with some friends. Harper has a crew (it doesn’t surprise me) at her school. She wants to continue basketball and join choir.
As a parent, we always want to make decisions that will good for our kids but also align with our plans. To see them thrive in such a short time lets me know they are going to be better than alright.
