• Sun came out this weekend in Atlanta but it’s gone again. This hoodie from @mikaela.pabon line is bringing me spring vibes today. I’m also going on my first field trip with Peyton’s class. Pray for me and send 🍷.
  • Yesterday I laid around watching HGTV and thought about how dreams can become reality. I still can’t believe this is my bathroom. God blessed us with a new bathroom via a leak. It was stressful and we still had to come out of pocket but here we are! Dreams are possible with faith, hard work and perseverance. A lot of us started with nothing but here we are. Don’t give up. Once I get my life together I plan on producing some of the content I promised y’all. #heytrinashome #babyshopahome #bathroomremodel
  • This pretty little lady has her first science fair next week! She did a fun experiment that I’ll share once’s it’s complete. I’ve taken on the role as creative director. That means her display is going to be doing the most. I remember how bad my projects looked when I was little because I had to do everything by myself. This is my chance to redeem myself 😆. How involved do you get in your child’s projects? Links to this look on the blog (in profile).
  • I heard it’s #nationaldrinkwineday. I thought that was everyday 🤔. I said I would keep wine to the weekends but since it’s a holiday.... 🥂. I also want to take a poll, how often do you have a drink? Daily, weekly, social or never? 📷 @kaynjames
  • Yesterday I had the honor of speaking at @trust_your_strength first mama mixer. The founder @alena0916 even presented a few mother’s including myself a Supermom award. Hearing all the stories from these ladies I don’t feel worthy because I don’t know if I would have the strength to go through what they’ve been through. Alena herself deserves all the awards. She put on this amazing event and is passionate about supporting nicu moms of color. She deserves all the awards. Thanks for having me! PS, I’m not short, these ladies are extra tall 😆.
  • Be your own Valentine and make sure you show yourself some love! Whether you’re celebrating with a partner or not, loving yourself is the most important. ❤️
  • Put together a quick & easy Valentine board inspired by @rosalynndaniels. She made a dessert board and since I’m on a charcuterie board kick, this is perfect.
What’s included:
Flowers from Mr. Grapes, choc strawberries (bought the dip cup of chocolate), blueberry muffins (jiffy mix), bowl of choc covered pretzels, and Hershey kisses. The box of chocolates are from the dollar tree. I put some little lip balms I bought for them on the board. #charchuterie
  • My main gals on Galentine’s Day! They are both out of school tomorrow so i need to figure out what we’re going to do 🤔. Outfit dets on the blog.
  • Happy Galentine’s Day! I’ve been blessed to have some amazing women in my life! From my OG besties to my blogger boos and all of you that show love on the daily! Love you all! #blackgirlmagic #galentinesday 📷 @kaynjames
  • My 3 dates for Valentine’s Day! I’m trying to do better at telling my family and friends that I love them more and followed with kisses and hugs. Those words weren’t used a lot when I was growing up so it’s something I have to be mindful of. Praise God for breaking generational patterns. New Holiday Traditions #LoveCarters

November 16, 2015

This post is sponsored by Carter’s.  Thoughts and opinions are my own.

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week and then it’s full speed ahead to Christmas.  Before my babies, I didn’t care much about holiday traditions.  Never had any.  I basically did my best to get home to see my mom or send a gift.  I’m excited to start my own family traditions with my two girls!  Since it’s Harper’s first Christmas and Peyton’s first as a big sister, I want it to be special.  At 8 weeks old, I’ve already been coordinating Harper and Peyton’s outfits.  It’s only right that I start a holiday tradition of matching my girls in America’s favorite pajama brand, Carter’s.

I really think pajamas can get you in the holiday spirit.  I’m not even going to try and keep up with an Elf on the Shelf, so matching PJ’s it is.  How cute will the girls be in they’re matching PJ’s when they open presents on Christmas morning.  I’m totally a fan of pajamas with the footies.  Not only are they soft and comfy, but they embrace that childhood look.  You can find Peyton’s and Harper’s PJ’s and more HERE.

Roll into your nearest Carter’s store (locations) or online and pick up your kids some matching PJ’s or regular PJ’s.  Carter’s always has great sales, but make sure you print of the 20% coupon to save even more!  Restrictions apply.  While you’re at Carter’s, find out how you can help a child in need get warm pajamas this winter with their Pajama Program.

I’m looking forward to our new tradition.  Now I just need to get a tree and decorate.  What are your holiday family traditions?

The girls look adorable in their holiday PJs. I too love to see Madison opening gifts in her cute PJs it’s actually one thing I get the entire family so we’re all in our holiday PJs Christmas morning!

Matching pjs always set the mood. My three had matching zip front onesies last year that my Dad sent them from London and they were adorable. It does help get you into the spirit. Yours are too cute! Happy Holidays.

So adorable! Our boys (8 and 2) wear matching Christmas pajamas too. My husband and I join in the fun as well. 😁Our other Christmas traditions are making hot cocoa from scratch, decorating a separate children’s Christmas tree, cookie baking and our annual Christmas Card. We just love the holidays!!!
