One of my goals before Harper turned 3 was to get her potty trained. I knew she was ready because she would tell me to change her diaper. I put it off as long as I could because I knew she wouldn’t be easy to potty train. Harper is strong-willed and would put up a fight. Boy did she! We started potty training in late May and I took about 3 weeks to get her trained. I wanted to share more about our experience and what items helped us on this journey. Watch the video below.

I’m so happy that we got past this potty training period. I’m glad we did it because everyone in her class is potty trained. Going to school or daycare with other kids also helps. I think that is how my oldest potty trained so fast.

September 26, 2018 at 11:51 amHA!! I’m dead at the wine chile! LOL! But it’s so real! Micah needs to get on the ball… but I keep hearing that boys will take longer, for whatever reason. He understands that he should go to the bathroom but I think the thing is that he’s having fun so he doesn’t wanna stop. He’ll go poop on his own and when his pull-up is too wet while we’re out, he’ll ask to go to the bathroom. Otherwise, we have to stay on him and make him go. I hope he gets it soon.

September 27, 2018 at 11:15 amGo Harper!!! Having boys and girls my experience was way better with the girls. They were easy compared to my son but all kids are different. He was almost 3 still not potty trained and I wanted to pull my hair out because he totally understood. But I love the disposable seat cover for when you are out in public. We do the old fashioned line the seat with toilet paper. My mom did that with us. Lol. Disposable wipes is a great idea. I used the seat over the toilet too because I ain’t about tgaf scooping poop life. Hahaha. So glad you have crossed this hurdle. On to the next adventure!

I struggle mostly because this wasn’t nearly as hard with my 10 yr old. She was potty trained before 2! Avery is trying to take me out for sure! I’m going to have to get the disposable seat covers for public bathrooms!! Thanks for the great video!!
