This week I made my Sweet’N Low Skinny Red Sangria as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #SweetNLowStars.
The holidays are over (finally) so we can ditch all those pumpkin, peppermint, nog drinks and get back to what we love. Sangria’s are one of my favorite cocktails to drink all year. Not all sangrias are created equal though. I can’t stand it when I order sangria at a restaurant and they feel it up with ice. CAN’T stand it. So I’ve started making my own sangrias at the crib. Took help you keep your New Year Resolutions, I’ve created a Skinny Red Sangria using Sweet’N Low.
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of Merlot (or your favorite red wine)
- 1 cup of diet lemon lime soda (I used 7up)
- 2 to 3 cups of frozen whole strawberries (you can use fresh strawberries as well)
- 1/2 orange
- 1 medium apple
- 6 packets of Sweet’N Low
Directions:
- Chop all your fruit into bite size pieces.
- Pour bottle of red wine into a pitcher.
- Add the lemon lime soda to red wine and mix.
- Add fruit and Sweet’N Low and mix.
- Set in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving.
I’m not a red wine drinker but this sangria right here! Off the hook! The fruit along with the Sweet’N Low gives this cocktail the perfect amount of natural sweet without all the sugar.
