Every year around this time, I start to reflect on my year. I ask myself, did I crush my goals? What will my new goals be? A few goals always remain at the top of my list: getting fit, possibly using great exercise facilities similar to what you could find by deciding to click here for more and taking care of my skin. I know, I say that every year and I genuinely work on them every year. I may not be at my goal size but what if that wasn’t one of my goals? What if I didn’t try at all? I’d probably be 20 or 50 pounds heavier. No, Ma’am. I’m happy to share with you guys how I plan on crushing these goals by stepping up my fitness game using Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant and skincare tips from Dove dermatologist, Dr. Alicia Barba.
I’m learning that it was easier for 35-year-old Trina to lose weight than it is for almost 40-year-old Trina. This year I did eat more vegetables and worked out consistently all year. I feel more in shape than I have in a few years. Unfortunately, I didn’t reach the size that I planned. In the New Year, I plan to keep working on that goal but stepping up my workouts.
I did great with my cardio but I also want to work getting toned. In addition to cardio, I’m going to add some strength training. Harder workouts mean more sweat. I’m going to be counting on my Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant to work overtime. Dove Advanced Care provides 48-hr protection that is must, because being a busy mom, the day can pass me by before I get a shower. Don’t judge!
Dr. Alicia Barba, Dove dermatologist, suggests that you should care for your underarms, especially during the winter months. She goes on to share that textures and fabrics can irritate the skin. Dove Advanced Care is formulated with moisturizers to help alleviate irritation and leave you with softer and smoother underarms. Since I started using Dove Advanced Care, I have noticed a smoother and more toned underarm that I never had before.
I mentioned earlier that I did eat more vegetables in 2017 but I clearly ate some bad stuff to go with it. I didn’t track any meals, so I couldn’t even begin to tell you where I went wrong. I plan to do a better job of tracking my meals. Logging my meals will help me to stay motivated and keep me on track.
In addition to getting fit, I want to continue to take better care of my skin. In 2018 I’ll be turning 40! I know it’s important for me to take care of my skin all year long, especially in the winter months, as the weather is cold and dry. Dr. Barba suggests stepping up your bedtime routine because that is the best time to hydrate your skin and decrease collagen breakdown. Something as simple as washing your face, applying retinol and moisturizing can work wonders. Even on days that I don’t wear makeup, I’m going to keep up with my night routine.
I know I use the term goal every year in regards to fitness and beauty goals, but it’s really a lifestyle change. When I set a goal, it motivates me to work a little bit harder. It doesn’t bother me to have some of the same goals every year because it shows that you recognize there are changes you could make or be doing better. Whether you use the term lifestyle change, resolution, or goal, you recognize that you want to better yourself.
With a monumental birthday coming this year, I play to crush my fitness and skin care goals. I will be using Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant along the way. You can learn more about Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant HERE. What are your goals, lifestyle changes, or resolutions you want to make?

For me, eating better and of course dropping some pounds but my biggest goal is to get back to running. I want to be able to run 6 miles without collapsing. Starting off with 1 mike on New Year’s Day! I’m going all in.
