I purchased the NYX Eyeshadow base in the color Skin tone. It also comes in White and White Pearl .
Here is what the base looks like after you put it on. I think I put on too much. I guess I was thinking I was putting on concealer for my eyelids and went H.A.M! Also, please excuse my tired, muggy eyes! This is in the morning after not much sleep!
Here are the colors that I used on my eyes: Rock and Republic in Paranoid , Elf pallet in Butternut, and Elf Minerals in Girly.
Here is the final result. I wish I would have blended the eyeshadow base more close to my nose. I never said I was a makeup artist! The base did make the colors pop.
Here I am about 10 hours later. I didn’t have any flash on this picture but you can still tell I have on eyeshadow. I think it held up pretty good! Usually at 5:30 I look like I never have put on any make-up for the day. So I give this eyeshadow base an A! I will def continue to use this. Having this product make me want to experiment with more colors that I thought didn’t show up well on my eyes. Do you use a base or primer?

February 3, 2012 at 7:17 amYes, this is my favorite shadow base and Urban Decay Primer Potion is my favorite primer! I use them according to the look I want to achieve! NYX base gives a more intense look and makes the colors “pop”! Plus NYX is pretty affordable as well! Glad you like it!
