Last Saturday woke up at the crack of dawn to head to Metroplex in Atlanta to workout with R+B Diva, Syleena Johnson for her Mommies Who Sweat Boot Camp! I have been a long time fan of the fellow Chi-Town native, Syleena Johnson so I was happy to go!
Syleena and I (and my uni-boob) before the workout began. Syleena had so much energy! She participated in all the classes and chatted with the attendees.
I may or may not have taken more pictures than working out! Hundreds of ladies and a few men piled into the Metroplex to get there workout on! The day began with a pep talk from Syleena and a group warm up and stretch. After warm-up, you headed to your designated class. There were several classes to pick from like military style boot camp equipped with real drill Sergeant (scary!), Step Aerobics, Hip Hop, Weight Training, Yoga, Kick Boxing and more! This was an awesome way for ladies to try different workouts and find one to add to their fitness routine.
What I wore: Old Navy Zip Windbreaker / Old Navy Boot Cut Yoga Pants/ Shoes Adidas (similar)/ Nike Gym Bag (Similar)
At the end of the boot camp I got to sit down with Syleena Johnson to interview her for Bag Ladies Radio. She shared with us how she does it all with two young kids, why she passionate about health and fitness (did I mention she is a certified Nutritionist?), her natural hair and a little scoop on the next season of R+B Divas on TVone. I puffy heart Syleena Johnson even more! She has plans to hold future boot camps like this! Her fitness DVD, Mommy’s Got Soul will be released soon! We can’t wait! Details from our interview coming soon!
What do you do to get your sweat on?

February 7, 2013 at 5:34 pmI love the idea of having a variety of different classes and exercises to choose from. Most boot camps are just one large class. I had no idea she was a certified nutritionist though!

February 7, 2013 at 8:04 pmI didn’t know she was a certified nutritionist, that’s pretty cool. I started watching R&B Divas but stopped after a couple of eps. Selena had some really good songs out and I hope she can make a comeback musically.
The classes look fun though. I miss the days when we took Hip Hop Aerobic classes in college! Couldn’t tell us NOTHING!!! Did you participate in the classes?!
