Look at That Mama with the Daisy Dukes On!

I am guilty of rocking Daisy Dukes back in the 90’s.  But shorts are back again!!! And you can dress them up! I guess that means shorts are the new skirt?  30 is the new 20?…

I missed out on summer last year being knocked up and in the house with a newborn. Now Mama is BACK!  It’s summer and Mama is ready to hit the streets! 

I have a few Grown and Sexy events planned for early summer so I have been trying find my new mama style. I am going to a concert next week and I want to rock shorts!  Here is my inspiration…

Love me some Nia Long!  Isn’t this outfit HOT!  Perfect Party look!

Or I can go more conservative but wear some funky shoes of course!

I just got these shorts in black from Express to wear.
I also got the longer ones too just in case.

I still need a top.  I am thinking I want something plain because the shoes I plan on wearing are SICK! I am going to try a white fitted button down like the pictures above.


So while everyone is wearing dress you can wear shorts and not have to worry about your pocketbook or spanx showing!  I will be sure to post pics of my final outfit.

    I just wore a pair of black shots, a black tank, chunky high heels and a poncho the other night.. I loved it

    Shorts are the perfect alternative to a short skirt. It always looks so stylish!! I have even worn them in the Fall with textured tights. Can’t wait to see your final look.
