Simple Acts of Care #EverydayCare

September 12, 2015

*I was part of the Every day, care™project with Whirlpool® as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #EveryDayCare

Sometimes I may sound a bit like a drill sergeant in my home.  I’m constantly on Peyton to pick up her shoes, put away her toys, clean her room and make up her bed.  It’s not that she doesn’t want to do them, it’s that her attention is elsewhere. I still stay on her because I know these simple acts of care that she does now will make a world of difference in the person that she grows up to be.  I’m happy to join in on Whirlpool® Every day, care™ campaign to help make our families and the world better.

Did you know that household chores help kids become self-sufficient adults?  I’m sure you have met a few adults in your lifetime that act like they’ve never done one thing for themselves (some of use married one).  Small acts like making your bed, cleaning up after yourself and doing chores teaches kids responsibility and to be self-sufficient.

Take a minute to watch Whirlpool® video for their Every day, care™ project.  You will immediately see how the “little” things we do everyday make a huge impact on our families.

I’ve noticed that since Peyton has started doing chores and cleaning up after herself, she takes better care of her belongings.  It’s also getting to the point where I don’t have to tell her to do certain chores.  It melts my heart!  What daily chore or activity in your household makes a big impact on the people you love?  Learn more about Whirlpool® Every day, care™ project HERE.

Love this article. It amazes me how far away from these ideals we have become. I do not have children, but I know how child hood responsibilities really helped give me confidence and self assurance.
    Great Article!
