Peyton’s Favorite Snacks: The Good Bad & Ugly

February 28, 2014

I’m amazed by how picky and opinionated kids can be about what they eat.   When I introduce a new healthy snack, I feel like I’m walking into my boss’s office to ask for a raise.  Not really, but almost.  It’s either yay or nay with this little one.  Mostly nay.   When I was a kid, I was happy to get any snack offered to me.

Luckily, Mott’s® Snack & Go applesauce has made the snack cut for my little diva.   Mott’s® Snack & Go applesauce comes in convenient squeezable pouches.  Mott’s has a variety of flavors to choose from.   Peyton’s favorite Snack & Go flavors are mixed berry and strawberry.
I recently interview little Miss Peyton about her favorite snacks and here is what she said:
Me:  Peyton, what is your favorite snack?
Peyton:  Fruit snacks!
Me:  What else do you like?
Peyton: Candy!  Mommy, do you have any candy?
Me: No candy Peyton.  What is your favorite candy?
Peyton: Suckers!  They are the best ever mommy!  I love them.
I guess her favorites aren’t too bad but if she could, she would live off of suckers.   I try to keep the house and my purse stocked with healthier snack options.  In addition to the Mott’s® Snack & Go applesauce, I offer Peyton fresh fruit, crackers, and graham crackers.   I don’t buy junk food for the house.  Peyton gets her junk fix when attending birthday parties and at the grocery store checkout.  Out of sight, out of mind.

Madison doesn’t like the pouch she likes it out of the cup. I don’t get it isn’t it the same thing but anyway that’s my Madi! She has a thing for chocolate now so we need to be careful with her sweet tooth. P is too cute with her little glasses!

I love those cute squeezable pouches. So adorable and kids like working to get the food out of the pouch. 🙂
