If you are anything like me, I am sure you have walked by this huge machine in the mall that looks like an airport security scanner. I finally know what it is!
Me-Ality is a 10 second body scan that matches you to clothing that fits based on your unique and exact body measurements
First, you fill out a short form. Remove coats, shoes and large metal objects and then step, fully clothed, into the Size Matching Station and stand still for about 10 seconds while the scanning wand rotates around you.
After being scanned you get a Shopping Guide from the touch-screen monitors at the Size Matching Station. The Me-Ality shopping Guide lists styles that fit your body shape. You can filter the list by brand, style, price or retailer. The entire experience takes less than 10 minutes and it is FREE!
Me-Ality has offered styles available at Nordstrom for nearly two years. The “Sized just for you” campaign, where people who have been scanned by Me-Ality automatically receive an email with their best fits in Nordstrom brands began in November and is ongoing. Me-Ality matches to over 50 brands available in stores and online, and an additional 35 brands within the “Sized just for you” campaign.
Brands in the campaign include:
– J Brand
– 7 for all mankind
– Paige
– Wit & Wisdom
– Topshop
– Citizens of Humanity
– Lucky Brand
– AG
Why I think Me-Ality is cool:
- You don’t have to try on clothes! Hitting up the mall with a two year old, who has time to be trying on clothes?
- It only takes a few minutes to complete.
- Located in the mall! You can get your scan and head right over to the stores to shop for your recommended sizes.
- Great for Online shopping! Your can order items with the recommended sizes.
- It’s FREE! Why not give it a try!
My Me-Ality experience was pretty easy breezy. A few of the sizes for pants and jeans that were recommended were a little bigger than I thought they should be. Maybe I wear my pants a little tighter than I should! My legs are pretty slim compared to my waist and there is nothing I hate more than a baggy leg. After trying on a pair of J Brand jeans at Nordstrom in the recommended
sizes did they fall off? Nope but I did have a lot of room in the waist and leg! But the rest of the sizes were spot on!

December 19, 2012 at 3:45 amAre you kidding!? This is awesome! Next time I visit our mall, I’m gonna search for one of these. Especially since I need to throw out my old wardrobe! I want new fashionable clothes, only! I want clothes that fit my personality and lifestyle. I’m dying for this immediate change!
Thanks for sharing! 🙂
