I’m Not Doing My Daughters’ Hair

April 2, 2025

Mama is tired y’all! Here is a little back story on my hair journey… I’m lazy! That’s it! I never liked spending hours on doing my hair every day. One of my older sisters is a stylist and I learned a lot of thing from her and I got pretty good at styling but to me, it was a waste of time. Give me a ponytail or a protective style (weaves and braids) and I’m out.

Now that I have two girls, doing hair became a part-time job. It usually takes me 3-4 hrs per kid from start to finish to do their hair. Then they started requesting me to do box braids. Don’t let all of our heads need to be done at the same time, that sends me in to a rage! We easily spend one weekend a month doing hair, factor in our co-parenting schedule, there isn’t much time for us to do anything else.

Instead of spending days in the house looking a mess until I do their hear, I have enlisted Princess Hair Pizzazz Kid Salon in the Atlanta area to take that task off my hands. On our first visit last year we were in and out under 2 hrs and both girls hair was looking fabulous. They washed, deep conditioned and styled their hair. I started to question why I tortured myself doing hair all weekend.

It’s been a year since Princess Hair Pizzazz has changed my life. The girls love their hair and look forward to being treated like little queens in this full service salon.
