Glamglow Super-Mud Review #NMBeauty

I’m a sucker for a good face mask!  Something about looking all scary for 20 minutes and then seeing the results turns me on!  I received the Glamglow Super-Mud clearing treatment in my August ambassador box from Neiman Marcus.  Glamglow Super-Mud took Hollywood by storm in 2011 as the must have product among celebrities.  Now us “common folk” can get that Hollywood Glamglow!  Glamglow Super-Mud claims to help fight all common skin concerns, including breakouts, pores, discoloration, black and white heads, razor bumps, and ingrown hairs.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Kaolin, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Sodium Hydroxide, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf, Mandelic Acid, Charcoal CI 77266, Parfum [Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate], Glycolic Acid, Azelaic Acid, Lactic Acid, Pyruvic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Maltodextrin, Iron Oxides CI 77491, Mentha Piperita Oil, Butylene Glycol, Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract, Glycerin, Chamoilla Recutita Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract, Hendera Helix Extract, Symphytum Officinale Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

Directions:

• Apply a thin layer to clean skin.
• Leave on for five, 10, 15, or 20 minutes.
• Pore-Matrix™ will reveal dots of vacuum extraction.
• Remove with water.
• Use as often as needed.
• Use as a full mask or spot treatment.

After washing my face, I applied a layer of the Glamglow Super-Mud.  I noticed that it was drying very quickly so I had to stop messing around and get moving.  Once it dries, you face will feel “stiff”.  I love that feeling! I left the Glamglow Super-Mud on for 20 minutes.

I don’t have a close up picture, but the the Glamglow Super-Mud has Pore Matrix that reveals dots where oil has been extracted from the pores.  It’s really cool and adds to the sexiness of the mask.  Using warm water and a face towel, I took the mask off after 20 minutes.  HINT: DO NOT use a white towel unless you don’t want it to be white anymore.  Unlike most masks, Glamglow Super-Mud came off super easy!  Other masks take two or three washes to get everything off.  As soon as water touched the dried mask, it instantly softened and came right off.

In conclusion, I think the Glamglow Super-Mud accomplished what it claimed to do.  My face felt clean and smooth like a babies bottom.  I may have even had a glow like Bruce Leroy in the Last Dragon.  Really though, my skin does looked more even and clearer.   One 1.2oz jar should give you 17 full masks and 1000 uses for spot treatments.  Make sure you apply a SPF if you are heading out into the sun after using Glamglow.  If you have super sensitive skin make sure you check out the ingredients or consult with your doctor before trying.
