This Saturday I attended the 2nd Fashion Uncorked. Fashion Uncorked, a jewelry-inspired design competition, wine and sampling of fine food to benefit Easter Seals North Georgia’s efforts to assist children with disabilities.
Each finalist had to design a day and evening where for ladies and an outfit for kids and their teddy bear. When I tell you these kids worked the runway… they werked! Cuteness overload!
Monica Pearson from channel 2 action news was host of the event.
Here are the judges: Marcus Jackson from Caliber Enterprise, Renee Knorr from 19th Hole Magazine, Rafael Cox from Project Runway, Holly Firfer a CNN anchor, Jessica Black Miss United States, Dr. Melissa Manuel of Art Institute of Atlanta, Cotrice from Project Accessory, JaVaun Gorman instructor Art Institute, and Courtney Hammonds Fashion Ambassador.
These kids are just too adorbs! They were so confident and not scared to walk the runway. Peyton needs to be in this show next year!
Here are a few designs from the competitors.
This years winner of Fashion Uncorked 2012 is Sidratu Maju! Congrats! See her evening design below.
Fashion Uncorked was a spectacular event! The wine was flowing from Barefoot Wines with great vendors. Head over to the Easter Seals of North Georgia to find out more information and how you can help families with kids with disabilities. More behind the scenes of Fashion Uncorked coming soon!
