My Treasure Chest of Shapewear

I may be alone but I take pride in my shapewear arsenal!  I think Spanx and other shapewear (that works) are little gifts from God.  They totally can change the game.  If it wasn’t for shapewear, I probably could not wear half my wardrobe.  It’s not that I buy my clothes too small… well sometimes with the hopes of losing 5lbs, but they just make me look and feel better.  I thought I would share some of my favorite shapewear items that I can’t live without.


Vedette Body Suit:  This this is the mother of all shapewear.  Want to look like you lost 5 lbs?  Put this on.  Check out my before and after HERE.  Was I lying?

DKNY Fushion Cami:  I never thought about shape wear tanks.  They are pretty awesome to wear under sheer shirts and blazers.  I’m wearing one HERE as a tank.  They also eliminate muffin tops in jeans.  Make sure you step into the tank for maximum results.

DKNY Shaping Boy Shorts:  Most regular Spanx come down to mid thigh.  You can’t wear them with a mini skirt.  These DKNY boy shorts are perfect for minis.  I wear there most of the summer with short dresses.

Spanx Tank (similar):  Again, shapewear tanks are awesome.  The more the merrier!  I suggest getting one in black and neutral.  Make sure you step into the tank for maximum results. 

Spanx Power Panties:  These bad boys are a must have!  Perfect for dresses.  These will be your go to shapewear.  I prefer the high waist power panties.  They stay up great and may smooth my back fat in the process.

Assets Shaper:  If you are on a budget or new to shapewear, try the Assests brand by Spanx at Target.  These work pretty well.  You can tell the difference between these and the Spanx brand but they get the job done.

Assets Tights: Tight season will be here soon.  Might as well get some with a control top waist.  I buy at least one pair of the Assets tights every year at Target.  I have not had a pair rip or run yet.

    You’re not alone! I need shapewear or I’d be hanging out on all sides. I haven’t tried the asset tights I should probably get a pair.

    Girl! Thanks! I am lost when it comes to shapewear! I have 2 pair of spanks that dont go with everything! I am going to scoop a few of these soon!

    I used the Assets Shaper in combination with a support belt to continue running throughout my last pregnancy! It holds you in for sure!
    And I just used it again to “hide” my yet again budding belly in a dress I wore to a wedding.
    Good stuff.

    Yes gawd! People tell me all the time I’m too skinny for Spanx, but I have the SAME tummy struggles! LOL I love power panties. They are like my GoTO.
